West Wind Guest House is a

Lee On The Solent overlooks the Isle of Wight, and from the
quiet beach you can watch the many different kinds of shipping,
from yachts to cruise ships and windsurfers to container ships.
This busy stretch of water provides a continuous picture of
activity.

The town of Gosport dates back
to the 13th Century and, for the last 300 years has had
close links with the Royal Navy. It is now home to the Royal
Navy Submarine Museum. Maritime Portsmouth, the home of
HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the Mary Rose Museum and the Naval
Dockyard, is a 25 minute drive away, or alternatively take
the 5 minute ferry ride across the harbour from Gosport
to Portsmouth.
Once you have had enough of naval history you can relax
at nearby Gunwharf Quays, with over 95 designer outlets
and over 20 waterfront bars and restaurants.Or if you have
a head of heights why not take a trip to the top of the
Spinnaker Tower, which stands 170 metres tall with viewing
platforms up to 110m looking out over Portsmouth Harbour
and surrounding area, it really is a sight not to be missed.

Should you wish to go further afield,
West Wind Guest House is an excellent base from which to explore many
famous attractions, from the Cathedral Cities of Salisbury,
which boasts the highest church spire in Britain, Winchester
home to the legendary Round Table and Chichester. Historic
Stonehenge, the New Forest and Southampton all are an easy
drive away or why not take the high speed ferry from Portsmouth
to the Isle of Wight.
