West Wind Guest House is a long established family run bed and breakfast. The Guest House is set in a quiet position, just 50 metres from the beach at Lee-on-the-Solent, Gosport, providing high quality accommodation and excellent levels of service.

The Guest House is ideally situated for both business and pleasure visits with excellent motorway links to both Portsmouth and Southampton, as well as water links to the Isle of Wight.

The West Wind Guest House operates a Fairtrade policy and is also a member of Gosport's Fairtrade businesses.

Lee-on-the-Solent overlooks the Isle of Wight, and from the quiet beach you can watch the many different kinds of shipping, from yachts to cruise ships and jet skiing to kite-surfers. This busy stretch of water provides a continuous picture of activity especially during Cowes Week and the summer months.

Lee-on-the-Solent is the home of the Hovercraft and the museum has over 60 Hovercrafts on show. The nearby town of Gosport dates back to the 13th Century and, for the last 300 years, has had close links with the Royal Navy. It is now home to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. Maritime Portsmouth, the home of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the Mary Rose Museum and the Naval Dockyard, is a 25 minute drive away, or alternatively take the 5 minute ferry ride across the harbour from Gosport to Portsmouth.

Once you have had enough of naval history you can relax at nearby Gunwharf Quays, with designer outlets and waterfront bars and restaurants. Or, if you have a head of heights, why not take a trip to the top of the Spinnaker Tower, which stands 170 metres tall with viewing platforms up to 110m looking out over Portsmouth Harbour and surrounding area, it really is a sight not to be missed.

Should you wish to go further afield, West Wind Guest House is an excellent base from which to explore many famous attractions, from the Cathedral Cities of Salisbury, which boasts the highest church spire in Britain, Winchester home to the legendary Round Table and Chichester. Historic Stonehenge, the New Forest and Southampton all are an easy drive away or why not take the high speed ferry from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight.
